This Agriturismo is wonderfully positioned to discover the southeast of Calabria. Some examples: • Ancient Gerace • The Aspromonte national park • Stilo with its Byzantine church • The waterfalls of Marmarico • The medieval town Mammola Day 8 - 11 From the southeast you follow the Ionian coast line north, towards the medieval town Santa Severina. Azienda Il Querceto will be your home for the coming three nights and from there you can easily explore the north eastern part of Calabria and the Sila. Possible day trips: • Santa Severina with its castle • The site of Capo Colonna • Crotone and Le Castella • Sila national park • The wine region Cirò Day 11 - 15 The next part of this trip will take you through the Sila to your final destination on this journey: Azienda Le Farnie near Altomonte. You will stay here for four nights. The azienda is centrally located to explore the northern part of Calabria. Some recommendations: • Il Pollino national park • The ancient towns Morano Calabro and Altomonte • Rafting on the river Lao • Civita and the other Albanese villages • The archaeological site of Sibari At the end of this trip you will feel as if you visited not only one, but several regions.
