Sardinia is famous for its coast lines, bays and beaches, among the prettiest of the Mediterranean. A stay at the island will make you understand the reason why. During this trip you will also get the chance to explore the fascinating interior of the island, to enjoy the local cuisine and meet the friendly locals.

15 day individual roundtrip in agriturismos and B&B

Day 1 – 4 Northwestern Sardinia
You fly to Olbia or Alghero where your car will be waiting for you. You can immediately start your journey and head towards Alghero.

Your home for the first three nights, Azienda Agriturismo I Vigneti, is situated not far from this lively town. It is a wonderful place from which to explore the northwest of Sardinia. The beautiful beaches of Alghero are only a ten minute drive away which makes a day at the beach within easy reach. Some other tips:

• The Catalan city of Alghero
• The picturesque village of Bosa
• The necropolis of Anghelu Ruju
• The beautiful capes of Capo Caccia and Capo Galera
• The fisherman’s village of Stintino and the nature reserve park on the island of Asinara

Day 4 – 7 Southwestern Sardinia
The second destination is in the southwest; a fairly unknown part of Sardinia. You will find plenty of natural beauty here, but also many cultural wonders. Bed & Breakfast S'anninnia will be your home for the next three nights. A few possible daytrips and excursions:

• The capital Cagliari
• The island Isola San Pietro and the peninsula of Isola Sant'Antioco
• The town Iglesias and the industrial monuments of the ex-mining village of Carbonia
• The dunes of the Costa Verde

Day 7 – 10 North Sardinia (interior)
It is time to change the south of Sardinia for the beautiful interior of the province of Nuoro. The next three nights you will stay at Azienda Agriturismo Testone. The quiet Agriturismo is owned by Sebastiano and will allow you to enjoy the beautiful nature and culture. The local cuisine is exquisite! A few recommendations to explore the region:

• A hike or biking tour in the Goceano region
• The Nuoro museum of Popular life and Traditions
• The ancient Oliena with its eleven churches
• The different archaeological sites in the area and Nuraghe

Your trip through Sardinia will come to an end after ten days. You will drive back to the airport to return your car and check in for your flight home.
